Music is an important ministry at St. Paul’s, including leadership in the regional Masterworks and Youth Masterworks choir training and presentation of concerts and hosting and sharing of a variety of Christian Music events for the local community. We completed a major renewal and upgrade to our pipe organ a few years ago. Our uplifting music program is a strength.

If we were given the task of choosing a verse or two from the Word, that would best describe our worship and music program here at St. Paul’s, I believe Psalm 95:1-7 would do the job.

“Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song. For the LORD is the great God, the great King above all gods. In his hand are the depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to him. The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands limned the dry land. Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the LORD our Maker; for he is our God and we are the people of his pasture, the flock under his care.” (Psalm 95:1-7).

Taking the time to come and worship on Sunday mornings is a personal decision led by God. Worshiping comes in all forms and needs, some quiet, some melodic, but all are prayerful. Worshiping through music is a special portion of our Sunday communion with Our Lord and our church family. Whether you take part in the choir (and all are welcomed), or rejoicing from the congregation, through song or with a listening heart, the music here is sacred, and lends a wonderful balance to the service as a whole.

If you haven’t found a church family yet, why not come, sit and listen, join us in a song, and kneel with us in prayer. Our hearts and arms are open, and our voices lift up a joyful song unto the Lord.

The adult choir participates in our 10 am Sunday service. They rehearse on Wednesday evenings, September to May; all are welcome!  We occasionally have a Church Chimes Choir. Older children are welcome to participate in the Choir or our occasional Church Chimes Choir, and a Children’s Choir is always a possibility.

St. Paul’s also hosts the Masterworks Choruses: Youth, Junior, and Adult. The Adult Chorus offers two concerts of sacred and spiritual music each year, one in conjunction with the Youth and Junior Choruses. Membership is open to anyone; members of the choruses represent a number of churches of many denomination.
