St. Paul’s Pacers!

King George Relay for Life

Saturday, May 17th, Noon-Midnight

Contact Stephanie Henke or David Gallagher,

if you’d like to join the St. Paul’s Pacers team,

if you’d like to participate in the cancer survivors or caregivers ceremony,

if you’d like to make a donation to the American Cancer Society, or

if you have any questions about the Relay!

The St. Paul’s Pacers are raising money for the American Cancer Society in a number of ways:

Prayer beads. Gloria Burnley will be making special prayer beads that will be available at the Relay. There will be a suggested donation for each set of beads.

Luminarias. The St. Paul’s Relay for Life team is accepting donations for luminarias. Luminarias are a visual way to honor or remember a person that has been touched by cancer; a luminaria will be labeled with the name of that person and then this memorial candle (along with hundreds of others) will be set along the Relay track. Luminaria forms are available in the Parish Hall. All donations are tax-deductible; suggested donations for each luminarias are $10.

Relay bracelets. For a $2 donation, you can wear your support of the Relay for Life on your wrist. These bracelets are available in Parish Hall.

Auction of tickets to DC’s Channel 9 news show. Thank you Drew and Jill Wine for auctioning these tickets for us at their Relay for Life Comedy Club Gala.

Cowpie bingo! Stay tuned for details! (Moooo…..)

You can make a donation, and learn more, at our St. Paul’s Pacers website pages. Go to the St. Paul’s website (www.stpaulskgva.org), and under ‘Missions and Outreach’ click on ‘Relay for Life.’

Remember, the Relay is a CELEBRATION of life and an OPPORTUNITY to honor and remember loved ones who have been touched by cancer. It is a community gathering event, not an athletic event or a competition. EVERYONE of all ages is welcomed and encouraged to participate in this fun and memorable day, and you don’t have to be there for the entire time.
