Music Program
If we were given the task of choosing a verse or two from the Word, that would best describe our worship and music program here at St. Paul’s, I believe Psalm 95:1-7 would do the job.
“Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song. For the LORD is the great God, the great King above all gods. In his hand are the depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to him. The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands limned the dry land. Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the LORD our Maker; for he is our God and we are the people of his pasture, the flock under his care.” (Psalm 95:1-7).
Taking the time to come and worship on Sunday mornings is a personal decision led by God. Worshiping comes in all forms and needs, some quiet, some melodic, but all are prayerful. Worshiping through music is a special portion of our Sunday communion with Our Lord and our church family. Whether you take part in the choir (and all are welcomed), or rejoicing from the congregation, through song or with a listening heart, the music here is sacred, and lends a wonderful balance to the service as a whole.
Our Rector and Choirmaster take special care to choose music which reflects the lessons of the service, and the adult choir does a wonderful job of delivering this sacred music to the hearts of those around them.

The Youth of St. Paul’s have been meeting the second and fourth Sunday of the months to learn music that corresponds in some way with the Bible lessons they are learning in Sunday School Class. The older youth have done a wonderful job in mentoring the younger youth, with their presence and supporting natures…not to mention, those beautiful voices. The youth choir then shares this experience with the congregation, in service to our Lord, by singing the anthem for service once a month when possible. All the children are learning that much of what we sing comes from our scriptures, and so, while we are making a joyful noise, it is, indeed, a prayerful noise. This is an informal class and all youth are welcomed and encouraged to participate as they feel comfortable.

In addition to our Sunday service, you will find other opportunities to express yourself through song with the St. Paul’s Masterworks Choruses. Founded and directed by Mrs. Richardson, the Masterworks Choruses, Adult, Youth and Junior, have worked through wonderful masterpieces such as the Mozart Great Mass in C Minor and other sacred works. Follow this link to see a list of major works performed since 1987. Currently the choruses present two spring concerts and one fall concert each year. These choruses are open to all singers in the area and have been a wonderful experience for many.
If you haven’t found a church family yet, why not come, sit and listen, join us in a song, and kneel with us in prayer. Our hearts and arms are open, and our voices lift up a joyful song unto the Lord.
